Ok so I might be posting this in the wrong forum, perhaps the other Muppety one is better, forgive me I'm a newbie.

Anyway the kids are asking what I want for Father's Day. Well I always ask for lots of boiled sweets which is my only vice ;) but they want to buy me something that will last longer than 5 minutes.

Who's buying what for their Dads or any other expectant  Dads out there know what they want?

    John

:thumb:I just think the stool one is brilliant because you can get up using only one hand, so you have the other free for carrying something..!;)

That's an excellent idea, when the kids were younger we used to sponser donkeys at the local sanctuary and it was always fun going to see them.

I will drop some big hints tonight, I'm sure they will go for this and can see them trying to get some animal that they associate with me!

    Thanks
    John

I have a donkey I adopted called Romero.
    He is from the
    El Refugio Burrito in Spain.
I adopted him because he was a taxi donkey in Mijas Village where we go on holiday.
The conditions for the Donkeys in Mijas are much better now because of the rescue centre.

Load of rubbish fathers day, same as mothers day.

Good excuse for the children who don't respect their parents on a day to day basis. You wanna give your mum and dad a present or flowers or a little gift, or just show your appreciation....do it all the time, not once a year.

Really annoys me this. As well as Easter cards and eggs and Christmas Cards for an excuse for not visiting your loved one's, family, cousin's etc.

If you have a guilty conscious then fix it. Flowers and Chocolates won't cover it.

    Bahh Humbug tweaky

Me and Mrs JWK share the same birthday so we have always made a big thing about Mother's & Father's day. When our kids were younger they would sometimes give us tokens they had made to use over the year, ranging from 'Clean the car' to 'Make a cup of tea'. I just wish we had saved the 'Slave for a day' token and could use it now they have grown up :D
