    Hi,
I've moved into a house previously owned by a serious gardener. I inherited onions, pots and peas and they've all produced well. However as I am now approaching the end of these crops, I'm going to be left with a number of empty beds. I've read all about rotation and have a good idea what will be going where next year (i'm not planning on growing over winter beyond a few salads). My question is what should I be doing with these lovely weed freee beds until next year. I'd like them to loook tidy over winter. Do I get them weed free and cover with fabric? Do I weed right through winter? I've plans to manure my to be potato plot but other than that am a bit clueless what I should be doing

As you'll probably tell I'm very new to all this.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

I put black plastic down on my veggie patch till I was ready to plant it. You could cover it with a tarpaulin then put some pots on it to make it look better??
