    Hi all

we have a relatively small garden with a narrow border each side that is 43cm wide approx 4 metres long (will attach photos)

I’m totally unsure what to plant. We are on sand here, end of garden is north facing so left side has morning sun, right has afternoon.

I have a few climbers I am going to do along the fences already but any ideas welcome on suitable plants, in which order to plant as I’m not creative would be greatly Recieved. I would like some winter interest/evergreen ideally too, not just perennials.

    many thanks

Make deeper borders! If you turned the lawn into an oval shape you get some deeper areas for planting and it would make the area look a bit larger

Depends, do you want lots of work or no work with the plant. Looking at it, I'd just put a row of Hardy Geranium in there, they'd fill right in and drape nice over that beam, and weeds don't grown through them. you still could put a climbing accent, center it .

Welcome1.jpeg Sam. Are you in Wiltshire? Your location helps.

I agree with widening the borders and perhaps give some shape and room to create a desirable look. I too would add some climbers to hide so much trellis, some evergreen Honeysuckle, a rose, ...

What sort of climbers have you got? Some will need support to climb.
