The collection outside my back door is growing since I decided to thin out some of the plants through the spring. My question is what does everyone do in this situation - some I can give to friends and family but I guess I shall still have some large number of leftovers.
Does anyone have any suggestions - have no desire to offer for sale on EBay!!!

In our village we have an annual fete which always accepts extra plants, this is the time of year for fetes. Some charity shops will accept trays of plants, too.
Depending on what you have you could offer them to board members! I am in the same position but most of my extras are are common and probably not required. If you fancy this, post a notice in Exchanges or for sale or just in general discussion!

You could always offer them on the exchanges, both of you, cos you can never tell what people may be looking for. Also you could find out if any organizations are trying to raise funds for groups or other things that involve kids or adults alike. I think local gardening groups do plant sales at this time of the year. Lots of options to explore. There are always someone willing to give plants a new home. [IMG]

I give mine, when I have them, to the local church plant stall. They have one once a month after the service to raise money.

Good point, Chobart. I suspect we all have the same problem.

Thanks to all for the responses - I now have some new ideas. Our local gardening club had their 'bring and buy' last month but were unable to run a stall at the local fete - it was cancelled because of the rain.!
