What to do ...

    One of many areas I am asking about...sorry

    This was an old massive pond which we filled in when we built an extension on the house, so its mainly rubble with some soil and sand mixed in.

    The only thing that seems to grow ok are herbs so I put some winter hardy Thyme and others. Unfortunately my wife says it just looks like weeds are growing lol

    Any suggestions of what else I can add to make this prettier and less like a weed garden. I was going to add some small concrete slabs as well

    You could try lavender, rosemary, maybe cistus and broom, Some of the Mediterranean bulbs such as crocus and miniature tulips.
