I have finally cleaned out the greenhouse, dug over the allotment patch and started planting out seeds, I am now wondering whether there is anything i should be feeding my vegetables like i do with the tomatoes and strawberries.
This is what I am growing at present:

    White Cabbage
    Red Cabbage
Brussells (pigeons have got to them)
    Cauliflower
    Beetroot
    Celery
    Leeks
    Chillies
    Lettuce (assortments)
    Carrott
    Kale
    Radish
    Onion
    Shallots
Potatoes (early, 2nd early and maincrop)

Should I be feeding with anything in particular or is water all I need?

I'd feed the Chillies & Potatoes when they are getting near ready, but I wouldn't generally feed the other stuff.

I put a general, balanced ("Growmore") fertilizer down a couple of weeks before sowing / planting, and hoe in.

I usually give Brassicas some extra Nitrogen once they start growing. The rest are left to get on with it (but I do add rotted manure when preparing the soil [but not on the bed for root crops])

Peas and Beans (they aren't on your list) will make their own Nitrogen, so don't add any for them.

A slow release fertilizer such as Blood, Fish and Bonemeal, or chicken manure pellets will feed your veggies over a long period and not give them a quick blast and possibly weaken them and allow deceases Ailments to harm your veggies. Cheers, Tony.

I have recently switched from blood fish and bone to bat guano

I bought a 3,28 kg bucket for under £15 .... it is used sparingly (2 tablespoons per large shrub, or 1/2 teaspoon per perennial) .... The one I bought has an N-P-K of 3-15-4, so is lower in nitrogen but high in P

there are other bat guano's available with different NPK ratios

as for veg, I have this saved on my favourites:

but suppose that if you want to keep it simple, a balanced fertilizer as suggested would be the easiest
