as per the other post a friend suggested i use canary creeper for this as it will establish quickly and cover it for this year.

my question is what should i also plant to take over when the canary creeper dies back?

ideally it will be something that doesnt die back, or at least doesnt die back too much.

clematis and passion flower have been suggested but i am not sure which ones will shrivel to nothing in the winter.

    thanks

Hi jps,i've planted a clematis Armandii against my chicken run...it's early days yet but i'm expecting great things from it...it's an evergreen clematis with beautifull lightly scented cream flowers in the spring :dbgrtmb:

Level?? what's that??? in my design (dont you know) I was feeling circa 50's with the tilted roof and the devil may care slim lines, and the free hand of errr, Picasso, and the mix of art nouveau movement, and that's where it all went wrong, I'm sure the bubble in the level was wrong!! (blame the tools) BUT, the chickens have never complained, you ought to see the state of my brick BBQ!!!!

? Would the occupants of the chicken run not eat the growing greenery ?
