    Hi All

Most of you know I keep bees and it has a small brook that runs alongside it .

I keep the bees in a 5 acre field , I have now found out it used to have pigs that basicaly eat everything so over the past two years it has been regrowing .

I was thinking of planting up my side of the brook , any suggestion would be great about 50 feet in length and at the moment just coverd in course grass but its always damp

Just thinking what I grow in my boggy soil by the pond, ligularias, cimicifuga, persicaria, telekia, mimulus guttatus, rheum, angelica, to name a few, will all love the damp soil Spruce, the bees love all these plants too, if you'd like any ligularias I'll no doubt have lots of babies in spring they seed everywhere :thud:

I don't know if bamboo is something you would consider, but it does like the damp.

:wow: your'e going to have great fun planting that up - to add to Simbads list how about Geum, Iris, Primulas, Aruncus Dioicus, Alchemilla mollis and Pulmonaria. There are so many that you can choose from and for me I would always find a spot for one of my favoutite plants - the hosta - shame the snails love them too!
