Hi there!I have 3 young Camellias in my garden. What will be a good companion to plant around them as it looks a bit empty(they are young,no flowers). The best option will be something colourfull to cheer up that spot in my garden. Also it has to be small and like acid soil.
    Cheers!

I always recommend this stuff under these and rhoddies-it's boring of me, but I really like how they look together-sweet woodruff. It will spread, but isn't invasive, has pretty little white flowers ( which goes against what you mentioned about colour sorry), and will stay small forever-no taller than say 6to8inches height.

Celine, rhododendrons and azaleas would go well with the camelias and enjoy the acid soil and give you a good show in the spring.

Lollipop, thank you for the sweet woodruff suggestion. I've had a look at it and it could be just what I need for ground cover for my camelia, rhoddy and azalea bed.

It was one of those happy accidents-it must have self seeded I didn't plant any-in fact I have often overlooked it, but it just turned up-and it worked-it's leaf shape mirrors that of rhoddies particularly. I do hope you go for it, I think you will very pleased.
