What to plant

    Hi all not been around for a while work getting in the way of everything else,my question is im after some ground cover plants for a large section of my border,would like some colour but also plants that can be left in all year round as dont get time to keep on top of the gardening , something that spreads abit have thought about campanulas is there anything else i could use thanks in advance.

    Geraniums? Wouldn't be without mine and I get a second flush of colour later in the year too. Creeping Jenny can be nice too, but, some people find it a little invasive (but, not my experience, so far!).

      Thought about Geraniums M are they hardy enough to stay in all year.................

        Hi Michael,

        For early Soring you can't beat Aubrieta ( the purple ) and Alyssum Saxatile ( the gold ).....

          They are perennials (as rightly stated by @Sheal ) and the pink variety that I have has never fully died back in the winter; reduced in size, but not fully died back. Each year it spreads a bit further, but I'm very happy with that.
