Not sure which section to put this one in so apologies!

What's the best product to use to treat my newly laid softwood decking? there seem to be so many different products from the cuprinol all in one does what it says on the tin , to decking oil and wax it confuses me. I mainly want something to add just a touch of coulour as some of the decks are differing in colour to the others but mainly to give some kind of protection treatment.

I would highly recomend Ronseal Decking Oil, Ive got Red Ceder.

Looks more natural as it is an oil and sinks into the wood, and does sit on the top like other wood stains can. The water beads off nicely but needs topping up every couple of years. Very easy to apply.

For contrast the decking is natural as it came and the bench is painted with the ronseal decking oil.
