GL, can you describe the soil, is it clayey, loamy or sandy? or any combination or something different entirely? [IMG]

David. What you on about. [IMG] You know darn well that most garden centers sell soil testing kits. That. plus an examination of the soil does it. You looking for clients in Manchester?

Soil testing kits don`t tell you what TYPE of soil you. They tell what PH and nutrient levels you have. [IMG] :D

I agree. That's why I said 'plus an examination of the soil.'

Your the professional but let's handle this as if we were sober. [IMG] :D

Hi Gardenlearner. I used to have a link to a site that told you to shake a handful of soil up in a milk bottle with water, then leave it to settle into the different layers of sand, silt and clay etc. But I can't find the site that explains how you interpret the result. :D
So have a look at these instead.
