True though. I do have a lot of conservative principles, but I had a hard Northern upbringing and there were things in the 80s that I despise the Tories for.

I'd vote for any party that said they would go back to the freedom days of the sixties and seventies.
When, within reason, you could do exactly what you like as long as it didn't bother someone else.
There are too many regulations now, if you dont want a crash helmet or seat belt its your choice.
Euthanasia should be an issue, but it aint, I dont think.

Far too many CCTV cameras around.

    No proper sentencing for criminals.

Think I'll not bother as usual as my vote will only be wasted if I vote for any party other than the usual one that gets in around here.

What about Proportional Representation, that might get me off my backside.

Think I'll vote B**, ( Even scared to mention them, what has this free country come to?) just to put the fear of Christ up the ******s:D

There are things in the 90s and 2000s that I really despise Labour for.

Democracy by its very nature is not long sighted. Regardless of political affiliation, whatever government is in power has to think about the next election and whether they'll be re-elected, so their policies reflect this. Not saying we need longer periods of government but not sure what the answer is....perhaps selfless politicians? Do I see pigs flying? :lollol:

Actually, how about getting the Queen to run the country. Face it, she's got a great track record, dedication to the job and LOADS of experience (how many Prime Ministers has she "advised" now?) :D:D

UKIP most definately - they were the only party to take us seriously on the contaminated compost issue last year, and we got the weedkiller banned mainly because of one particular UKIP MEP's efforts.

Gordon Brown has ruined our economy so no way will I ever vote Labour again and the Tory excesses of the 80s completely turned me against them.

Strongy, I think the lib dems have floundered ever since Charles Kennedy was forced out.

Whilst iv never held with the majority of Libdem policy's I feel that Kenedy was really starting to make headway both in terms of policys and in terms of the party's popularity that is up until he resined. Now under Cleg they have lost ground again.
