I've never tried hanging baskets before but this year I thought I'd have a go - they have a mixture of geraniums, pansies and petunias in them.

What's a good general purpose liquid fertiliser to keep them growing and flowering well, and how often should I apply it?

    Thanks

Well you can use whatever you normally use on any other container plants.
And you apply it according to the instructions;)

Having said that, I tend to use the controlled release stuff on most container plants.

I use liquid tomato food for most plants in baskets and pots.

Tomato or any fertiliser high in potassium for hanging baskets or annuals to promote flowering. I use liquid seaweed sometimes too

I use blood fish and bone when planting then miracle gro a few weeks later, the blue powder you mix with water. It goes further than the liquid feeds, I find. For dahlias a bit of tomato feed or phostrogen as well.
