I have a few clumps of beautiful yellow Welsh poppies - but as soon as they come into bud something is eating them .... no damage anywhere else, on leaves, surrounding ground .... but every day when I look I see the bud has been snipped clean off - just as if I had taken scissors to it !! ... what would do that ? ... Val

    Hi Val,

I think it is birds, it happens with my daffs in early spring. I caught them at it redhanded one day.

They are picking clean my coco matting from my baskets aswell, looking for nesting material.
