whats it called?

    I've heard of a device that looks like a pepper pot, which can help you sow seeds evenly. Does anyone have any idea what its called and maybe where to get one please?

    Or any other hints/tips for sowing fine seeds evenly

    Ah missed you last sentence, you want to sow fine seeds? Well a trick I picked up working in a greenhouse was to mix fine seed in with dry horticultural sand (its also called silver sand), then you can more easily run the sand into the drills .
