Lovely @noisette47 - I have a plant here (next to an aristea which flowers so conditions should be right) but it does nothing. I think I'll move it to sit in pure grit!

Let the yellow commence... Apart from Hellebores and Chaenomeles, it'll be yellow everywhere for a while...it's worth it for the perfumes, though!

Galanthus elwesii "Grumpy" only the first year of flowering and it can take a couple of years for the markings to settle down.

Flowers still in fairly short supply here but a few things in bloom here now:

Sarcococca in flower but too windy to get the fragrance:

@Jenny namaste, that is exceptionally neat grass you have there. :blue thumb: Mine looks a right scraggy mess, so much so I am thinking of finally taking the plunge and getting the last two small sections dug up. It was all grass and nothing else when I arrived and gradually, as I’ve needed more room for plants, its area has shrunk and shrunk. :)

Only a stage stamp sized lawn - not worth owning a mower .
