These 3 little juniors on the bathroom Windowsill. The 2 Oxalis were corms that I planted in the beginning of November. They really do emerge very quickly. I shall ha December 1 piccies 001.JPG ve more just after Christmas if anyone wants some corms.
That little Salvia "Amistad" has a Winter to get through yet; I shall pot it up in a couple of weeks so it will have some nourishment to help it along. It still has its mini cloche on at night as it feels the night time chill and the leaves flop a bit. Early days yet...

I was cleaning up some of the borders and came across this fellow who is still going strong underneath a Lilac "Madame Lemoine"

I'm not sure that this should be 'what's looking good...'. It's more like 'what's not looking too bad...'. :)

Having just got back from being away for a month I've been out in the garden doing some tidying up. I've now got a lot of the early winter work in the front garden done and have started on the back garden.

I've lightly trimmed the edges of the lawn as they're too soggy to cut a proper edge.

And one of the hebes is trying hard to hang on
                  P1150463.JPG

Nerine Bowdenii is still in flower
                  P1150456.JPG

I haven't checked the rest of the garden yet!

                    Thanks Jenny and GA :dbgrtmb:

We have to keep on top of it as there's so much to do. That's just a part of the front garden.

In October I cut about 4ft off this laurel on the front of our garden and it's sprouting fairly well.
                      P1150462.JPG

So, yesterday we started on these. They should all have filled out fairly well by Open Day (fingers crossed) and we're thinking of reducing the height by a few feet. We reduced the height by about 3ft four years ago.
                      P1150461.JPG

The laurel to the left of the first picture is only about five years old and replaced the old plants that were demolished by a drunken driver in a white van. He took down a telephone pole, ruined a load of shrubs and hedging and ended up 15ft into our garden. We had to drag him from the van even though he had a punctured lung because the fuel tank was leaking.
                      He lost his licence.
