It's actually only in half bloom at the moment but rain is due back in so thought I;d get a photo with the blue sky.

Thats lovely Vicky - especially against that beautiful blue sky. I though you were going to top that Anne, with pink bananas from Florida - I am glad to see that at least someone is normal. :D

Are you still living in the same place, Shiney, to have an iris blooming already? :thmb:

Look at that tree! Beautiful thing. I think my irises were out this time last year-those ones that Vicki id-ed for me. They aren't here yet for me so you are very lucky Shiney.

My camera is kaput so I can't take any pics of my snowdrops-I did what Christopher Lloyd told me to do ( in his books) and it has paid off.

I love these threads, thanks Victoria.

What a contrast we have, Sis. :hehe:

And we wouldn't expect less from Shineyland, would we? I love mini Iris, the wild ones should be blooming here soon as the standard white wld ones are already. Claire, if I remember right, you have the beautiful Iris histrioides 'Katharine Hodgkins'.

I captured a close-up of the blooms today before the sun disappeared. The post under the tree is 1.6 meters tall, which gives an idea of the height of the tree so difficult to get a real close-up. It smells like honey in the warm sun and is covered in hundreds of bees.

Yes, Kedi, the irises were in full bloom when we got back from our holiday two weeks ago :). These have been sitting in the corner under my office window for years - at least 20 :thumb:

Lolli, they always bloom early here in Shineyland :hehe:

Vicky, that's a beautiful photo :gnthb:

Hi Peri your lovely words are really appreciated,Thank you the first 3 are Primulas, and they are inside a little garden in Rochester:)
The next 3 are inside a florists in bunches,so I asked if I could photograph them, and the lady said of course you can and then asked me to take a few shots of the front of her shop, which I am going to do tomorrow when I will take my Tripod with me:thmb::)

This is the little garden with a fish Pond and Charles Dickens Chalet
