As we're a week into the month already  thought I'd start this with my windowsill of the outdoor living room under the Jacaranda.

Cyclamen and Air Plants ... there is a purple Cyclamen in between the red and fuschia coloured ones hasn't bloomed yet (it's fourth year) but has lots of buds ...

A bit closer up of these ... left to right in the pedestal pots, Guzmania lingulata major (Scarlet Star), Tillandsia ioantha (Sky Plant), yet to be identified and a massive pot of Billbergia nutans(Queen's Tears).

[IMG] Lovely to see LoL, a spot of sunshine on this cold windy dreary old English day... :(

[IMG] Thanks for sharing that LoL, all my little Cyclamen seem to be over for the moment but there are lots of little buds coming so I hope the frost doesn't get them..

Evening Marley, Peter and John. [IMG]

Marley, it's as grey here as there ... we're in rain season but we had a bright spot and I went out pruning and tidying up from the storms whilst t'other half hoiked 3 tonnes of firewood (cork oak) into the property from the lane.

Peter, Happy New Year to you and hope you had a lovely visit with your sister in Devon. My Salvias are coming along a treat ... I'll keep you posted. [IMG]

John, all of these "air plants" of mine as I call them seem to be having multiple births, so ...

We are just going into our two "cold months" January and February (perhaps light frost) and these fellows live outdoors where you see them, so I'll keep you posted. [IMG]

Now I expect to see some old British friends up this month ... anyone with Christmas Roses (Helleborus) coming along? Bergenia is a bit later if I remember correctly? Neither like my climate. :(

That's really lovely, Sis ... I do wish I had enough shade to grow them here. :(

We had our first sun today since the weekend so out came the camera ...

The Cestrum 'Newellii' just goes on and on in a shady location under a Jacaranda ...

And having cut out all the storm damage stems from the Poinsettia, it doesn't look too bad ...

It is mine Pete, in my back garden, in a very large pot and is top heavy so it has to be tied to the fence to stop it blowing over in the gales we are having. :(

Actualy, I didn't make a comment because I thought the tree rather large although must admit it looks from the pic it's planted in the ground.

It's beautiful, strongy, and I plan to go out the next couple of weeks photoghraphing ours just coming into their glory as I adore these trees.

Lovely seeing yours ... also I now know I'm lookiing for the Baileyanna. [IMG]

Here it is in it's pot, one day I will have to plant it in the ground.
The only problem with them is being winter flowering they are prone to losing their tiny buds in gales, fortunately it has survived the present ones.
