Ben the Gardener is coming on Saturday and will weed all the Oxalis pes-caprae out from between the razor sharp leaves.

I have one of these in a pot which appears to have come through the December freeze unscathed with nothing more than a rain shelter.

These are in the most exposed part of the garden and are basically neglected ... and they spread like wildfire!

Thanks, @CarolineL they have survived the two freezes we have had here, better than the Phormiums, Acacia and Callistemons. The bed faces North too which wasn't the best situation but the only space at the time.

We sat out with Ben the Gardener after he finished catching up on gossip of Brits in Algarve so I took a few photos. Although it was 17c, it was overcast with a breeze so chilly to us.

Right side of the Dance Floor Patio in front of the house with what I thought was Mandevillea blooming ... but it is self seeded Freesias ... the heady scented ones 3 foot tall!!! ...

Just yesterday evening I discovered a new bud starting in the middle of the leaves on one of my Clivias! This came as a great surprise as the last flowers had only fallen off a few days ago!

I checked the other plant but can't
find any new buds in it. But I did notice that the leaves are starting to grow quickly now!
