An iris that I've rescued from an overgrown shady spot. It's enjoying its new home by a wall in the sun, and is strongly scented - always a bonus!
          image.jpg

First flowers of the year on Trachelospermum asiaticum. Another wonderfully scented flower
          image.jpg

I'm so excited that the Dragea sinensis (Wattakaka) is covered in buds and growing on strongly, no flowers open yet though
          image.jpg

The first flower of the year on a waterlily opened this morning

And the dwarf lilac is looking and smelling lovely. This one came with me from my uk garden

Philomel, thanks for the pic of your Iris. It's stunning.
I used to grow a lot of Irises but I just don't have the room now as everything has to be in containers.

                  Ha ha :)
It likes the summer heat here (can take sun unlike most Hoyas relatives) It's got its toes covered with thyme to protect from frost and came through this last mild winter with flying colours. There's a bench under it too, for enjoying the fab scent. I'll post pics once the flowers open.

This is my Pelargonium, I'm sorry I've forgotten the name.
It's got nicely scented tiny leaves ( not lemon or citrus), and the most amazing salmon coloured flowers. WP_20150503_002.jpg

PS... The pic is almost double lifesize. Both the flowers and leaves are small and dainty.

I love them but lack the space to start off down this road :nonofinger: There are so many to choose from.
