I think this is a Crabapple ? If so, anyone know which variety, and is it ornamental or edible ?

    Thanks !

Thats a big question Evil Len, there are hundreds of varieties of Apples, then there are all the "Wildings" that have come up from discarded Apple cores.

Each wild one could taste of anything so the best thing to do would be to taste the fruit & then go from there.

Tastes like .... um .... actually, tastes not too bad :) Just like a normal apple, fairly sweet (was expecting the sourness to disolve my face) with an undertone of sour.

I guess that means it's edible then ? :) Crabapple jelly time !

As far as I know, any crab apple is good for jelly making. I just used my ornamental M. John Downie for some, it's lovely!
