    These seem to be quite happily growing under the canopy from the weeping willow....

    It looks sort of artificial, also is it just me or is there a ghostly image of a giraffe's head on that treetrunk? :help:

            Looks very much like an Astrantia to me and the Leopard on the tree trunk looks like some sort of wire mesh wrapped round the tree base.Must cut down on the caffein me thinks:snork:

            I too see the giraffe!!!!!!! My tree will never look the same again :) haha

            It is some wire mesh that is there for some reason? I've no idea why though?

              The mesh may have been put there to stop animals harming the tree at some time or other.
              Lovely flowers. :)

                Astrantia Major !:biggrin:

                Dead Jeal, tried to grow one this year but no sign of life so far. I LOVE the structure of this plant, the flower is simple but stunning.

                I think it is a bit of shed skin from a big boa constrictor! I should give that bit of the garden a wide berth.
