Some allium-like flowers have appeared behind my shed, in the shadow. They have an unusual triangular flower stem, and the leaves tend to the triangular too, though not so marked. Can anyone tell me what it is, and especially, can I eat it? Not much going yet in the garden in that respect ......

Agree with 3 cornered leek. Be careful with it; it spreads like whatsit given half a chance. It's not fussed about conditions and spreads through tiny bulbils that get left behind when you pull it up, also self seeds. Do not put on compost heap, it survives, burn, drown or give to council.
