Do you think it could be the amount of rain we have had this week?, with the expected amount of rain coming this weekend should i put it in the greenhouse?

Rains fine it's when the compost drys out before you water again. Can't you plant it in the garden?as long as the soil drains easly.

The advise i got when i bought it was if is is less than 2 feet tall i cannot leave it out over winter, hence the pot this year so i can over winter it in the greenhouse and plant it out next year.

musa's usually grow about 3ft during the summer so should be alright come October, then just wrap in fleece and put a bag over the top to keep out most the wet and cold, after you've cut the leaves off that is.

    Is it Musa Basjoo Keving?
Its not a very good looking green to me, it looks a bit dull.
Cant say that I have ever come across brown marks like that, its particually worrying that they are on the new emerging leaves.
Is it water logged, or, if you've had lots of rain it maybe that the compost has had all the nutrient washed out.
How long has it been in that pot?

We have had a lot of rain, and it was under a leaking gutter when we had a very heavy down pour. I moved it, but it did get water logged.

Looks like the sound advise would be to plant it in the ground, i was just concerned about its first winter, it being quite young.
