I planted some baby cucumber seeds and the plant seems to be growing well, and fruiting as you can see in the picture, but it just seems like its fruiting too soon, the stem is really thin and its in a small pot. I wasn't ready for it to fruit so soon.
Am I still OK to put it into a bigger pot?

Did i do something wrong or is this just how this particular plant grows?

I'd be inclined to cut off the fruit that are forming, for at least a while until the plant gets bigger.

But I've never grown the variety you have there.

I agree with pete,. cut off that fruit otherwise it will sap all the energy from the plant and it will take weeks for it to recover.

Thank you for this post. I have the same issue with a couple of small plants. I shall nip tomorrow!

It's always best to nip off the first small fruit on cucumbers, the plants will 'stall' if you let the fruit fully develop. It seems a shame but in the long run it will pay off.

Yea Ive done it now, I had a sneaky taste of the biggest one though and it was nice enough so will wait for the plant to get a bit bigger :)
