    Hi all,

After returning from holiday, some of my potato plants have very unhealthy looking leaves and I can't seem to work out what the problem is, whether it's blight or something more benign like frost burn.

Many of the leaves look like this:

Some leaves are completely black and curled up, some are just yellowing with no black bits. Only some plants are affected, with the rest being perfectly healthy-looking. They're still young plants, the tubers have only been in the soil for about six weeks or so (just started coming up maybe two or three weeks ago).

I can't find any white fungus on the backs of the leaves, and the weather has been very dry here and also cold for the time of year.

Can anyone tell me what the problem might be? :cnfs:

Hi Paddy Rice. I think it's too early for blight. We have had a few frosty nights and I'd put my money on a bit of frost burn. If so your potatoes will be fine.
    See what others think.

Thanks guys. That's reassuring! Hopefully we won't have any more frosts now, the weather seems to be warming up a bit! :D
