:D I have been out in the garden today & there were allot of bugs flying around.... It got me to thinking... Most of us have some kind of insect or bug that is "just all too much" for some reason..... :D

 There are so many of my nightmare bugs out today...!!! It is the "Daddy Long Legs"....!
They are my nightmare going back to my childhood.. I am relatively controlled nowadays.... ;) It goes back to a camping trip when I was about7. My cousin caught a load & crept around putting them in everyones, hair, bed clothes, ears & noses.... You can just imagine the noise as everyone woke up...!!!! He was one of those "Just William" type boys with his cap on & mischievous look on his face.. Always.. He still is today... Even if he is collecting his pension...!!!!!

:D So here is my nightmare bug...!!!! What's yours..??

    Just a bit closer...!!!!!

Remember this from last year in my brother's garden in Crete, imagine if they were three times the size!! then you would have nightmares. Luckly these Mantis were only 6ins long!

He's lovely, strongy, my sort of critter. [IMG] I'm amazed, the cicadas are rife at the moment with temps in the low 20s.

Nothing particularly bothers me but I don't like picking up worms, slugs or other slimey things ... frogs and snakes are okay, as they are soft ... mice, voles and such like are easy to catch by the tail but voles can quickly upend and bite. The one thing I almost can't do is pick up a frightened, flapping bird.

LoL, I know you have them around (mantis) and I remembered you liked them, wish we had them here (but not three times the size, imagine those pincers - ouch!!). :D

Okay, strongy, 18 inches may be a bit much to handle ... with the Mantis ...   ... but I'd handle them with care and attention and speak nicely to them as I petted them sitting on my arm (not hand, please note). [IMG]

Oh, ag, I disagree ... he/she is beautiful. [IMG]

Flying ants is far too much for me...I never saw them before this summer (no joke intended!) but boy when I did just like DQ I screamed like a loonie around the garden anyone would have thought I was getting murdered.... Bob was pretty brave but man I really lost it!
