When do I cut Physalis?

    A couple of years ago (before I discovered it's probably best to grow it in a container!), I planted a Physalis alkekengi. I don't mind the plant itself - although most of it will be coming out before it becomes too invasive - but its now got some reasonable 'lanterns' which I'd like to dry off. When is the best time to cut them?
