When/How to remove dead/dying palm leaves?

    As most of you know I have a Parlour Palm, I have noticed some leaves are dying/dead. How do I go about in removing them?

    You cut them off.
    Simple as that, no messing.

    Is there any certain place on the stem that they should be cut at? At the start of the stem or near the leaves?

    As close as possible to the main stem.

    Is there any risk of "Bleeding" (I think thats what it is called)?
