    Hi everyone,

I was donated a Rambling Rose last year and want to move it out of its current spot and somewhere else. When is the best time to move it?

Also how much space should I give a Rambler? I was hoping to have it growing against my fence and through the trellis work at the top but the growth seems more reluctant to bend than a climbing rose.

    Thank you :)

Good morning Jane I personally would do it now , Cut it back to about 2 feet, then dig it out leaving as much of the rootball as possible intact, dig out a hole a bit bigger than the rootball and add some manure and dig it in, then plant the rose,Ramblers are usually resilient, hope this helps:)

    Hi JJ,
As insurance, you could use some of the top growth to make cuttings about 12-15" long, pencil thickness, take off leaves and stick in the ground where you want the rose to grow.
