This time of year we have a lot of fires and helicopters are sent in to assist the firefighters on the ground. We often see them with their buckets flying around. Normally they go to the sea, but when needs must ... all within seconds ...

This is in the area of where some friends live.

They must have permission to use it in such an emergency, as it`s quite clear of trees for the rotors, and the pool is empty.Any port in a storm.

Almost certainly, none of the hotter countries have water to spare.

Forgot to say, that was yesterday.

Most of us are on water meters now who are within 10kms of a town ... but a lot of folk still have boreholes and choose not to go onto mains.

Have just read on the Portuguese forum that the pool was full but evacuated and that it is the outdoor municipal pool in the small town of São Bras de Alportel, hence someone there doing the video. :dbgrtmb:
