I have planted two crops of potatoes (my first time growing this veg) the first crop has enourmous plants and a few flower buds. When is the time to harvest?

Also, I have planted some garlic (February). The leaves have all wilted over and are half yellow and half green. Should I pull these up now?

I've found out about potatoes myself recently and it depends on whether you have first earlies, second earlies or maincrops. First earlies are about 10 weeks to harvest, second are about 13 weeks and maincrop are 20 weeks. As for garlic, I don't know when they are ready but I gather they take a while!

Your potatoes will continue to swell as long as there is green growth to feed them but if you grub some up now you'll get some nice fresh baby spuds. If you pick off the flowers you'll help the potatoes develop as they'll not expend enery on ripening the seed.
As for the garlic I'd suggest you loosen the roots a bit and then let them die back completely before lifting them.
