hello everyone, dont know if you remember but i grew some from seed (amazingly)and was wondering when to plant out.i know they flower in spring and was thinking maybe i should pot them on and leave till after summer or do it now.the thing is i dont have much space at the best of times(ill post a pic)so if its invasive ,should i plant singly or a few together for a good effect.i have longed to have it in my little garden and ive got 8 now in 2inch pots, still, and some of the leaves are beginning to turn yellow and pink.is this normal or should i be worried?.
    thanks in advance Elaine [IMG]

I think the plants would be better planted out, as they'll be quite small there is room round the nasturtiums for little groupings. it dies back overwinter anyway. Unless you can put them in a greenhouse or conservatory over winter, theer's the danger that pots will freeze right through and kill the roots.

elainefiz: Since they seem to like growing in crevices etc., I should imagine being in pots is the last thing they would want. Hence my question on this thread sometime ago:

Don't worry about pink and yellow leaves, yours look better than mine and I have got to keep them for a long time yet in pots. Once they have got over it I am sure they will be as tough as old boots! I thought last year when I planted them in a rockery (in crevices) and difficult to water in hot/dry weather (it just runs off) that they had died, but they fully recovered during the winter and were very good this year.

I think just so long as you don't let the leaves stand on wet soil too long until they are established. IMHO

thanks DAG.hopefully it will grow just tall enough to creep through fence and over little wall just in front.
PS, what does IMHO mean? [IMG]
