    Hi Fellow gardeners :D

When should my sweetpeas and morning glory be planted out into the garden?

    What do you all do?
What does the panel think? :D

\i have planted out morning glory last week as it was looking so strong and its doing all right I have contrived to shelter it in the garden so its not exposed to our raking westerly winds until it grows a bit but I am an absolute beginner so dont take my word for it.

my sweet peas have been out a month, but I do have some fleece to throw over if there is a hint of frost.

I think it may be a little early for the morning glory, I have chanced some of mine, but only cos I have far too many so could afford to loose them.

I have some Sweet peas in a planter but most are still under cover along with the M-G's, Canary creepers and Cup & Saucer plants..in fact everything I have planted is still covered,I am going crazy wondering if I will get a frost or not!! [IMG]

I sowed sweet peas in the autumn, they lived in a cold frame all winter and were planted out the first week in March. Haven't lost one of them

I've just read this in the paper:

The saying-"ne'er cast a clout 'til May is out"
refers to the mayfly which doesn't hatch until there is no chance of frost.

    Anyone seen any mayflys yet?

It's a dilema but think maybe I'll go for it next weekend. [IMG]

Planted mine out this week, I'm restricted for space and they were clinging onto each other so had to go out. I'm confident there won't be any frost here now. A few days on and they seem happy [IMG]

    Good luck Stingo!

My MG are in the shed in their "forever pot". You should see me lugging that thing in each night and out each morning....hehe.

Sweet Peas - I am a bit late with them and only sowed them a few weeks ago but they are already shooting up just fine :D
