    Just come across this on the allotment, I've got a sneaking suspicion it will thaw out OK.:biggrin:

      I think it will be all right, try to thaw it out slowly. I've found Opuntias to be very hardy.

        Ive moved it nearer to the house, but I'm not expecting it to thaw out anytime soon.
        Its an experiment.:smile:

          It is amazing how cold the desert gets at night. it will probably do okay.

            But usually dry, this has just put up with 2 months of solid rain.

              Did you leave it out deliberately, since you said it's an experiment ?

              I had forgotten it, but I have other plants of the same Opuntia so its now an experiment.
              The opuntia in question has survived outside during winter but growing in the ground, not a pot, the pot soil is like concrete.
