Hello! After a week or so in their new raised bed at my allotment, my lettuce seedlings have all but gone. I honestly can't tell whether they've withered and died or been eaten as there's no trace of anything.

They were sown and hardened off before being moved to the allotment, and its neighbour Kale was in the same bed and is growing fine with none missing! I put netting over it so don't think it was birds... any idea as I'm confused!

Slugs/Snails, probably. What do the remaining Lettuces look like? Healthy?

If the remaining ones looked sick, then it might have been weather related or something. Definitely Slugs or Snails I reckon. If you uncover some of the earth where the missing Lettuces were, you'll probably find the remains of the stem.
