Where has UKTV Gardens gone?????

I've just flicked the telly over to sky 248 and it is now a channel called 'really' !!!! :skp:
I've looked on the channel guide and UKTV Gardens has dissappeared :cnfs:
Gutted now, cos I used to like watching the old re-runs of Gardeners World etc

 

it's probably the new name for uktv gardens, thay've done it to a few channels recently

 

maybe sweetpeas but there are no gardening programmes on at all today.

No gardening shows here either. I think maybe the interest in perennial gardening has wained but with the interest in veggie gardening you'd think they would be rerunning the old 'Victory Garden' shows at least.

If younger inexperienced gardeners are wanting to grow food where is the help they will need to prevent them being discouraged and giving up? Why is the tv world always 3 years behind the flow?

 

I noticed that it had vanished too. I was already to phone Sky and cancel my subscription, but I found that 'Home' on 258 has some gardening programs.

 

Yes, UKTV Gardens is now no more and the channel is now moved and renamed to "Home" ch 246.

I found this quote on there in the midst or many disgruntled comments...

It would seem that the old Gardeners world re-runs are a thing of the past, which is a real shame... I'll miss learning with Geoff..

UKTV is in the middle of a rebrand, and most of the channels are getting their own identities and a new focus. Dave was fair enough, but I sorely miss UKTV History, Yesterday is rubbish. Blame the new head honcho, he was from ITV and it was his idea to change everything!
