I have just moved house and now have space to accomodate a large and varied herb garden.

Two simple questions, where do people think is the best value place to buy seeds ??

and what herbs do people recommend outside the obvious, also common herbs but in differing varieties would be interesting to hear about too.

    Thanks all....

I buy a lot of seeds on ebay these days, check out for the seller premier_seeds_direct:

    http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Premier-Seeds-Direct?_trksid=p2047675.l2563

They combine postage so buying several packets works out good value.

The other place for good value seeds is Lidl/Aldi, pound shops and Wilkos.

I suggest you grow the herbs you like to use.

I agree with JWK, only grow what you like and use, I had plenty of herbs this summer, but sadly some of them were never used  they just looked beautiful, but I think I will opt for some flowers for decorative purposes and only grow herbs that I actually use

Don't forget English Marigolds. Or you could also add that crocus that saffron comes from.
