hi c,m sit the house in aquite area of the garden
against a wall bank or fence under or near plant cover, dont line it with anything as it will makes its own nest up out of leaves and garden debris and never disturb as a scared mother will just abandon her young.they love damp grass areas of the garden and make sure the entrance is not facing north or north east. they hibernate dec-jan but may wake several times during hibernation but will not come out as their body temp tells them its too cold but they may move quickly and build another nest. they start to feed again at the first sighn of spring depending on weather temp...they usually lose about a third of their body weight so if your lucky to have had one in your nest this is when you will see them most as they are hungry and dont take long to put the weight back on good luck ;)

I think that if you put in Sky TV it will be fine. :D

Seriously. If you are prepared to buy a lot of dog food and put that in and waste a lot of it, then you will have a hedgepig hotel by summer.

I love the little beasts and I am sure you know that bread and milk is a no-no. Good luck. And keep us informed. [IMG]

Hedgehogs dont like Rupert Murdock so Sky and the Sun is out. Everyone knows hedgehogs are left wing anti establishment commies. . Where have you been.
    Anyway
Are you saying I should put the food IN the house. What about rats? What if it doesnt get eaten?

My mate Rupert says you should buy his all inclusive hedgehog packet, You can buy this on-line or if that fails (and it will) phone 0871- HEDGEHOGSAREUS at only 50p a minute (waiting queue only 40 minutes or more).

Seriously I'm sorry I have no answer to rats. Yes. They will get the food. And yes you will waste food.

I suggest you get a Staffie. They hate rats. Unfortunately they hate hedgehogs as well.

I wish I'd never got involved. [IMG]
