Have a largish garden, moved here in July. It is on a busy main road. There is a large area of tarmac in front of the house which takes up a quarter of the garden & will stay. there is a paved sitting area opposite the house which is enclosed by trellis & has established climbers on it but the trellis is falling apart & it is opposite the entrance to the drive & the traffic.I can't get my head round moving it but it is in the wrong place. There is a border round it which I have cleared ground elder from & planted a few simple plants for the time being. 2/3 of the rest of the garden is lawn, the last 1/3 an overgrown paddock. To complicate things there is a septic tank in the middle of the lawn with an unattractive pipe coming out of it in full view. The paddock is weeds with a few neglected fruit trees in it. There is a small greenhouse, a shed & dog kennel & an old wendy house.

I want a veg patch. It will have to be in the paddock away from my four dogs but I have no idea where to put it & where to start generally. I have uploaded a few pics but don't know how to include them in a post

Do you have the options of sizing you pics bigger?, then you could put them one at a time with text followed by others with text giving more flexibility than Thumbnails.

Looks very countryside like to me. That being the case, I think if it was me, I'd spend the rest of the winter ensuring the land was rabbit resistant.

Try opening an account with Photobucket, it's free, and upload whatever photo's to it. You've then got a photo library in the "Clouds" [quite safe and private]. That will give you the option to download to where you want in a lot of different sizes. Our "How to download photos" Forum should be of help, if not come back.:D

Good point re bunnies though don't seem to have them here. They were a total nightmare in the last place. Garden has road in front & woodland behind & there are muntjac in the woods but again they don't seem to come into the garden. There is a post & rail fence round the garden with dog restraining wire that the previous owners put up but it is not wildlife-proof. So far only squirrels, pheasants & flipping moles. I think if rabbits do appear in the paddock when I've started the veg I will build a cage round the patch rather than attempt to rabbit proof the lot. Have made a decision to start by digging a small veg patch, tidying the rest of the paddock & teaching myself to prune the neglected trees. Ordered a pruning saw with good reviews off Amazon last night. Armandii I already use Picasa. Can I use that?
