I am looking to buy a new Panasonic camera (got one already and like them and know mostly how to use it) Stuck between this one
DMC F272EB-K with x60 zoom and
    this one
    DMC LZ40EB-k with 42x zoom.
Anyone used the one with the greater Zoom and got good images without having to use a tripod all the time?
    TIA.

Thanks Woo, but not really what I wanted. I already have a Panasonic with 18x optical zoom which is more than the one you were reviewing.
I was wondering if anyone actually owns either one of the cameras I mentioned.

I have used the 272 and found like most bridge cameras with a small sensor that at the far end of the zoom the image quality suffer's quite a lot:smile:

Good afternoon @Palustris what camera have you got at the moment my friend,I have tested most of the Panni's is it the FZ28 x 18 zoom ( 27-486mm range) 10 megapixel:smile:

Well the camera I am reviewing the FZ1000 (intelligent zoom) you can zoom in up to twice the original zoom from 400 to 800 magnification while minimising the deterioration of the image quality, and it works very well ;)
