I normally grow a Nantes early in the year (or Amsterdam Forcing if I am really early ...). They seem to do OK.

    However ...

I was watching Dan's Allotment Diary (quality stuff his Videos - mind you don't spend the rest of the night watching them now, eh?!) and he swore by Carrot Sweet Candle as being the best flavour he has come across - and not to mention the fact that his were a foot long Grrrrr!!

Anyone tried them? Got other recommendation? Perhaps I should stop growing the "obviously easy" ones and go for max. flavour

'Resistafly' were good when I grew them last year, it's the only carrot I've grown though.

I found Sweet Candle in the garden centre the other days, so treated myself to a packet. I'll let you know later on if they are as good as the hype I was lured by :)
