which flowers look most beautiful when in bloom but most depressing when withering?

      I get so upset by viewing a Camellia which doesn't "self clean ". It does so spoil the overall appearance to see brown lumps alongside fresh beautiful blooms,

        I was only thinking this today! My crocus looked lovely. We had two days of rain and now they look hideous.
