I have a new lawn approx 250sqm, it's made up of a couple of large circles which may be a little challenging to negotiate when mowing.

Can anyone recommend a good sit-on mower that will help me see where I'm going.

Also, it's a new lawn and I'm wondering if a heavy mower may damage the new turf?

    Thank you in advance.

Ride on mowers are OK for large areas of fairly straight runs. Two circles of lawn that size are hardly worth the effort (or the cost of a ride-on).

I used to mow the orchard for a farmers wife and she said I could take the ride-on to mow my own grass. I tried it once but the turning around was too fiddly and I carried on using my Mountfield 16" Empress rotary mower.

I cut ours (It's 82foot long at the furthest point, coming in to about 50 foot, and about 30 foot across) with a mower I bought from Argos, the petrol Challenge model, and find it more than handles my lawn :)
