Whileys art - chaos and pets :D Update 6th Jan

Weeell I'm never ever going to be as good as Rosa with my water colours, but i'm only learning now. I usually craft more than paint, but i've been wanting to develop my study of canine and feline structure and colourings, so i thought watercolour might be the way to go, so excuse my newbieness, but i'd love some feedback.

Also, i'll warn you now, my doodles which i may include are often just small illustrated brain backflips, and will make pull a face like a jack russell with a toffee because, well, they can be strange. We're talking loch Ness Monster playing with hand puppets type strange. But nevermind.

Also, my pet portraits are a bit different, i like to merge a sort of realistic but cartoony angle on them, so there are your heads up.

So to start with, here is Woo's gorgeous Gypsy.
Mixed media, mostly water colour paint with water colour pencil detail. I've never done a shepherd before so i wanted to play with that classic lowered hind leg pose, so here we go :D

Please excuse that pencil detail i still havent rubbed off. I haven't seen my art rubber in about 6 months so when i find it, i can perfect her.

Gogs Jake is next, then i don't know who else. I'm practicing my animal structure so requests of pets are welcome :D PM me photos or just reply here and i'll search the forum for photos you may have posted in the past, like i did with Gypsybum.

JELLY IS OFFICIALLY AMAZING. I'm painting her/him weather you like it or not XD Is Jelly blue merle houndie collie mix thing or am i waaay off?

Due to headaches and general winter blues, i'm not going to work anymore, so more paintings are go!

It's a Lady Lurcher, there is blue merle, patterdale, greyhound, deer hound and Jelly shares the same mother as my other two. :eek:

 

Your dogs are utterly gorgeous!

I will probably have a bash at drawing them as a group :D

 

Well Jakes outline is all done, but i don't know if his tail is docked or not, so i'm popping him aside until Gogs can let me know and send me more photos.

In the mean time, its Tinys turn :D

She was quite difficult to master because of the white in the paints and the textures of her fur, but she was fun! On the camera you cant quite see the white shading, but its more visible in true view.

I will try again with the wiry fur with your lot BM :D

Oh thats so sweet of her, i love butterfly chasers! She looks like a Disney dog to me, so i thought the butterfly was appropriate :D
