My daughter, has sent me these pics that I thought I'd share with you.

They were taken at Whistler on Monday, the winter sports area above Vancouver.

The trees are stunning now they are coming into the 'fall'. The black bear was within shouting distance, the second she and other half had met on the same day. The first, they almost came face to face with in the high street after turning a corner. Scary!

        Looks like a beautiful area.
Mrs. Trunky and me are planning a holiday in the Canadian Rockies next year to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary.
I'm looking forward to it even more now!

Don't go hugging any bears while you're there Trunky. My daughter says they look so cute, that's what she wants to do. :)

            Fantastic pics.
We did a tour three years ago of the US Mid West for our Silver which was geared towards wildlife and Native Americans and the Rockies were stunning. The one thing we didn't see was a Bear!
I would like to go again and see it in the Fall.

Beautiful pictures......it looks like that here right now, with all the leaves changing, we get tons of tour buses that come up to see our leaves......no bear sightings, but we do get the odd moose about an hour away.

How are things now for your daughter Sheal...send me a pm.

Thanks everyone for your lovely replies to my daughters pics. She's been out there five months now and still loving it. :)

Trunky and Strongy..........you make me feel past it talking about your silver wedding celebrations. My husband and I celebrated ours with three weeks in Norway nearly thirteen years ago. We took our car and toured from Bergen right up to Trondheim taking in the Lofoten islands too. We loved every minute of it. Beautiful scenery! :)

Agree with you on that one Sheal.
We spent two weeks in Norway a couple of years ago, for my 50th birthday. We drove from Bergen up to Alesund and like you, we loved every minute!
                A truly beautiful country.
