White flowering tree but what is it?

    Hmmm maybe a type of weigela? i cant get a very good look at the leaves :)

    Cant be the flowers on the plant in your picture only have 4 petals...

    I think, like Liz, that it is a dogwood. Namely, Cornus Kousa.

    Many thanks! I'm beginning to think so too having checked your info on Google images. I've taken a couple more pics which I'll post. Would you believe it - Photobucket is undergoing maintenance. Will try later!!

    Forgot to mention ... it has fruits on it which resemble small raspberries! Dead chuffed now because after Googling images I've found out you can eat the berries! Kousa Dogwood ......
