white grubs

    white grubs in lilly containers , any advice would be helpfull am new here hi all

    have just been looking it up!! and have only found info re "rotund" orange-red ones with black heads!! So it's not the lily beetle!! But the vine weevil attacks lilies too, and it's creamy-white. Does your grub have a brown head? Depending on whether you want a green method of control or are happy to use chemicals - you can use nematodes Steinernema kraussei - see http://www.just-green.com or for chemicals, you need imidacloprid as a drench, or inslow release granules - http://www.sanxichemical.com
    I just googled for that last one - haven't used it, so can't actually recommend it as a site. hope this helps!
